Introduction
A water-distribution network must deliver adequate quantity, pressure and quality across changing demand, asset condition and emergency conditions. Sound engineering links demand forecasts, hydraulic grade, pipe economics, pump and storage behaviour, fire-flow requirements, water age and operational constraints.
This five-day course integrates network design with real-world operation. Participants develop demand scenarios, size system components, interpret hydraulic models, assess transients, calibrate results and diagnose performance problems. They also address pressure management, non-revenue water, water quality, energy use, asset maintenance and contingency planning to support reliable, efficient and resilient service.
