Introduction

Urbanisation increases runoff volume, peak flow and pollutant transport while reducing natural storage and infiltration. Effective stormwater management must combine drainage capacity, safe flood pathways, water-quality treatment and solutions that remain maintainable under changing climate and land use.

This five-day course equips drainage, municipal and civil engineers to plan and design urban stormwater systems. Participants will estimate runoff, model pipe and surface networks, size storage and integrate green infrastructure. Workshops address exceedance, water quality, asset operation and resilient catchment planning.
