Introduction
Structural condition cannot be inferred from a single reading or isolated test. Reliable assessment combines knowledge of damage mechanisms, inspection evidence, calibrated NDT, structural response, environmental variability and explicit uncertainty.
This five-day course integrates non-destructive testing with structural health monitoring. Participants select methods, plan sensor layouts, establish baselines, process data and define alert thresholds. Engineering models and targeted investigations convert measurements into defensible conclusions about condition, risk and intervention.
