Training Outlines
Introduction
Prefabrication and modular construction shift critical work from site to a product and manufacturing environment. Their benefits depend on early design decisions, repeatability, stable interfaces, disciplined tolerances, supply-chain capability and logistics that are planned before production begins.
This five-day course covers system selection, DfMA, digital coordination, factory assurance, transport, lifting and installation. Participants evaluate business cases, procurement models, design freezes and handover requirements. The focus is on controlling dependencies that determine whether modern methods deliver faster, safer and more predictable outcomes.
Objectives
- Compare prefabricated and modular delivery systems.
- Develop a project-specific MMC business case.
- Apply DfMA and standardization principles.
- Control design interfaces and tolerances.
- Plan factory production and quality assurance.
- Design transport, lifting and installation logistics.
- Allocate commercial and supply-chain risks.
- Establish digital traceability and handover.
