Introduction
Highway performance reflects the interaction of road function, traffic demand, geometric design, drainage, subgrade, pavement materials, construction quality and maintenance. Weakness in any one element can reduce safety, serviceability and asset life.
This five-day course provides a rigorous professional foundation across highway alignment and pavement engineering. Participants interpret traffic and ground data, develop geometric and drainage criteria, design flexible and rigid pavement concepts, control construction and evaluate maintenance needs. The emphasis is on integrated, evidence-based decisions.
