Introduction

This technical course builds practical competence in industrial-hygiene monitoring and exposure assessment. Participants design representative sampling programmes, select and calibrate instruments, measure airborne and physical agents, apply quality controls, interpret datasets and communicate defensible conclusions.

Objectives

Define monitoring objectives and similar exposure groups.
Select representative personal, area and task-sampling strategies.
Choose, calibrate and use industrial-hygiene instruments.
Measure airborne contaminants and relevant physical agents.
Apply field blanks, chain of custody and laboratory quality controls.
Calculate time-weighted, short-term and peak exposures.
Interpret exposure distributions against occupational limits.
Produce reports that guide control selection and verification.
