Introduction
Healthcare analytics can improve risk identification, service planning and resource allocation, but predictive models operate in environments where errors may affect patient care and equity. Electronic health data is complex, missingness can be informative and performance may change across hospitals, populations and clinical workflows. Credible use therefore requires strong validation, calibration and human oversight.
This five-day course develops practical competence in healthcare analytics and AI predictive modelling. Participants will construct valid cohorts, prepare longitudinal data, build risk and outcome models, evaluate clinical and operational usefulness, and design controlled implementation. The course supports healthcare, quality, analytics and informatics professionals without presenting models as substitutes for clinical judgement.
