Introduction

This course provides an integrated framework for managing hazardous materials from receipt and storage through use, transfer and transport. Participants apply classification, safety data, segregation, packaging, marking, documentation, carrier controls, security and emergency-response requirements.

Objectives

Classify hazardous materials using recognised hazard criteria.
Interpret labels, safety data sheets and transport information.
Design compatible storage, segregation and inventory controls.
Specify safe handling, transfer and loading practices.
