Our Company
EPW Inc. began as Elkhart Pattern Works Inc. in 1968. It made industrial patterns for many different industries until the early 1980’s when it began to make tooling for different applications.
As the pattern industry became more computerized, EPW’s business strategy was directed toward manufacturing tooling primarily for the automotive industry.
EPW has made tooling for many companies in North America and it has tooling as far away as Australia.
Our employees have the skills to engineer and manufacture tooling for foam in place molding, reaction injection molding (RIM), injection molding, glass encapsulation molding, thermoforming molding, and slush molding.
In 1995, EPW purchased a RIM molding company and it began to produce short run reaction injection molded parts for various industries. Since its purchase, the RIM Division was moved to a new 20,000 square foot, climate controlled facility attached to EPW. This gives our tooling customers a place to develop, prototype, and tryout tooling and processes.
EPW is located in Elkhart, Indiana and it has a 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility that encompasses both its tooling and RIM divisions. It also has a sales office located in Novi, MI in conjunction with the Krauss Maffei Detroit Competence Center.
